Another Hollywood couple has head into splitsville.
It turns out Chicago P.D. star Sophia Bush and her Google engineer boyfriend Dan Fredinburg broke up earlier this year, according to reports, and it seems as though the pair called it quits because of their hectic schedules (Bush shoots the series in Chicago and Fredinburg is based in Northern California).
“They decided to end their relationship in February,” a source tells People. “When you see one another for 24 hours every four weeks, it’s impossible to maintain a romantic relationship. They weren’t able to spend the time together that was necessary to nurture that kind of relationship.”
The insider adds that the two are “still really good friends,” and that “they both care about one another and it was completely amicable.”
The duo first confirmed their romance in April 2013 and the brunette beauty admitted on Instagram last August that she usually shies away from “personal stuff.”
“I wouldn’t have been the same without this man by my side,” the former Partners star gushed about Fredinburg along with a red carpet photograph of the handsome pair at the Do Something Awards. “Thank you, Dan, for loving my passion and my fight. Thank you for being the spark to my match.”
Us Weekly was first to report about the split.
