It’s not quite right to say “contrary to popular belief” when it comes to this TV-making town’s largest TV festival, because popular belief has no play where the successes of the small-screen stand.
So to assume only brand-new shows, the hottest of the hot, get a place on the Dolby Theatre stage each March is not the whole story. Part of the story, a large hunk, in fact, is that PaleyFest regularly looks back to series that have built a huge fan base, or changed the industry, with a household name showrunner at the lead.

One household name is Dick Wolf, a creator behind a huge lineup of hit shows, so many shows, in fact, that they could practically take over their own scheduling grid and fill it, top to bottom.
Bet, then, that the many actors who will appear at a special PaleyFest salute to Mr. Wolf will come from several of his series, including “Law & Order: SVU,” “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago P.D.,” and “Chicago Med.”

The night? It’s Saturday, March 19, and Ice-T, Jason Beghe, Sophia Bush, Colin Donnell, and a number of performers will join Mr. Wolf for a Q&A on stage.

That’s not the only announcement to come down the pike from the Paley Center for Media. “Supergirl” will also have its night at the 2016 extravaganza, on Sunday, March 13, and “The Big Bang Theory” alights on Wednesday, March 16. “Fear the Walking Dead” will also be a part of the roster.

There’s one more night left to fill during the festival’s March 11 to 20, 2016 run, so keep your PaleyFest-focused peepers well-peeled for more stars, more creators, more plots, more twists, more fan interaction.
It truly is TV’s big happening in a town that’s big on the form, so to say that’s saying something is probably not saying quite enough.
