Bethany Joy Galeotti has signed up to star in the potential ninth season of One Tree Hill.
The CW series has not yet been officially renewed but TV Line reports that Galeotti, who plays Haley, has agreed to return if the show is picked up.
She confirmed the news on her Twitter page, saying: “Are you ready for the last season of One Tree Hill? If we get our pickup, season nine starts filming in July and I’ll be there!”
Galeotti is the latest cast member to ink a new deal after Sophia Bush announced on Twitter earlier this week that she has also signed up.
“I am officially in for ONE last year of OTH (sic),” she said. “The writers have GREAT plans! Now all we need is a CW pickup.”
Bush, who plays Brooke, asked fans to “keep [their] fingers crossed” and revealed that Austin Nichols (Julian), Robert Buckley (Clay), Lisa Goldstein (Millicent) and Jana Kramer (Alex) have also renewed their contracts.
James Lafferty, who recently suggested that he is getting ready to “graduate” from the show, has not yet signed a new deal. However, he is expected to return part-time if One Tree Hill is renewed.
Meanwhile, former cast member Chad Michael Murray hinted that he could reprise his role as Lucas if the show is picked up following the news that he will not appear this season.
“Return to OTH?” he tweeted. “I don’t know. Maybe next season for you guys. I love that Lucas is missed. Give [creator] Mark Schwahn the credit. He built him.”
It is not yet clear whether One Tree Hill will be renewed for another season. The show’s network The CW recently announced that it has picked up shows including The Vampire Diaries, 90210 and Gossip Girl, though it revealed no details about the future of One Tree Hill.
