Haley: Unlike Brooke, who I understand, is nice and easy.
Peyton: Look, don’t underestimate Brooke. She’s full of surprises. That’s part of her charm.
Peyton: Don’t! It was stupid, OK? You’re with Brooke now.
Peyton: No, it was just too weird with Brooke there. I started to tell her about us the night of your accident and then Haley called and everything changed….
Lucas: I figured. That’s why I ended things with Brooke today.
Peyton: It’s important to Brooke. Do you know how terrible it is to be disconnected from your best friend? Look, I really hurt Brooke, and I just don’t want her to be disappointed again.
Mouth: I’ll speak for her. We just heard Principal Turner read a list of Erica’s accomplishments. I could try to do that for Brooke, but it would be kind of a short speech… As you know, Brooke’s probably one of the most popular people in school. Something I’m definitely not… and yet, she’s my friend. She never cared what clique I was part of, the kinds of clothes I wore or… the fact that I have to ride the bus… She looked past that stuff. And when you think about it, isn’t that what we want in our president; someone who can see past the superficial differences and bring us together? This year, Brooke’s had her share of ups and downs… just like all of us. But most of you never saw it, ‘cuz even when life got hard, Brooke never let it in. She was just…Brooke; tough, smart, one of a kind… And I don’t know about you but those are things that I look for in a leader. Brooke Davis is my friend. But that’s not why I’m voting for her. I’m voting for her because of her heart… and her spirit… and because she’s the best person for the job.
Peyton: [After Lucas finds her, sobbing] Ow, my leg! I got cut by some glass. Lucas, I lost Brooke, I’m sorry.
Lucas: She’s fine, but- you’re not. We gotta get you out of here.
Nathan: No, but she will. I want us to live together. I want to be your husband again Haley.
Haley: That sounds so good to me. But I have a roommate named Brooke.
Rachel: Well I never got caught Brooking myself in the bedroom today.
[Bevin takes a sip]
Skills: Do you even know what that means?
Bevin: Oh yeah, I Brooke myself all the time.
Skills: She keeps talking like that, I might have to Brooke myself.
Lucas: Listen I just wanted to say I’m sorry that we didn’t get to spend more time together tonight.
Peyton: How’d it go with Brooke?
Lucas: I realized tonight that it’s over between me and Brooke and she realized it, too.
Peyton: Like… Nathan beneath Brooke or is that Brooke beneath Nathan?
Peyton: (Stops boxing) Why Brooke? Did you really hate me that much?
Nathan: No! I didn’t hate you! I just didn’t care about anybody but myself. Look, I hooked up with Brooke because she was drunk, and I was a bastard. It didn’t mean anything. Just a mistake we both wanted to forget.
Lucas: She told me she loved me. I just figured it was because she lost a lot of blood. But at some level I knew it was true. I was just too afraid to admit it because, it would’ve hurt Brooke.
Peyton; We all know graduating plus partying equals Brooke Davis minus her clothes.
Lucas: (voiceover): My name is Lucas Scott. Four years ago I graduated high school with my friends. Brooke Davis moved to New York City and found success. Peyton Sawyer went to Los Angeles, success didn’t come so easily. I wrote a novel and fell for my editor, Lindsey. My brother Nathan saw his dreams vanish, leaving his wife Haley and their son Jaime more fragile than ever. Things have changed in four years, but in many ways this is just the beginning.
Peyton: Hi Mrs. Davis. I just want to tell you, I think it’s really great you’re supporting Brooke’s decision to stay. I know it means so much to her.
Victoria: Of course I support my daughter. But let’s be clear. The only reason that Brooke returned to this backwater town is because her loser friend couldn’t cut it in Los Angeles. That’s why I’m here, to make sure that my daughter is not completely exploited by her parasitic so called friend. So you get your little act together before you ruin her life too.
Mouth: I would totally date you if you were sleeping with Brooke.
Haley: [to Peyton] The last time I was trapped in the school was the shooting. You know why Lindsay and I got so close? She was editing Lucas’s book, and I still wasn’t sure about her, ’cause I was rooting for Lucas to be with my friend Peyton, or maybe even Brooke.
Lucas: Of course, I do know some things about you, Brooke Davis. And you’re gonna be a great mom.
Haley: He got a little cocky sophomore year. [continues reading Luke’s predictions] Make out with Peyton Sawyer or more. Take Peyton Sawyer to a movie. This year I’ll talk to Peyton Sawyer. Try again with Brook- Brooke Davis.
Julian: Brooke Davis, I’ve read all about you.
Lucas: Let me tell you why you’re not gonna direct this movie. Because you can’t identify with this world. I want a director who can recreate the feeling I get every time I step out onto the river court at night. I want someone who can explain to the audience why one song can instantly change Peyton’s mood. Someone who can recognize that there are two completely different sides to Brooke Davis, both of which are amazing. I want a director who can make the little things the big things. And you are just not the guy to do that
:[(Julian gives Brooke a list)] That’s the breakdown describing the Brooke Davis I’m looking for.
Brooke: “Gorgeous brunette with an amazing energy and smile. Funny. Intelligent. Kind-hearted. Strong-headed. Simple. Complicated. Motherly. Childish. Tough. Sensitive. Beautiful. Way cooler than she was in high school.”
Julian: Brooke Davis writes her own story like you did with your career and your company and with Sam. You choose your own path.
Julian: Never let it be said that Brooke Davis is easy.
Julian: Maybe I did, but somewhere along the line this place changed me. Brooke changed me. I love her, and I want Sam to come with us so that we can be a family.
Peyton: The Honorary Title, Matthew Ryan, The Cure, Audioslave, Haley James-Scott. They’re all in here. It’s music to save your life and music always helps, no matter what you’re going through. So if you flunk a big test or you have a really bad breakup or you just miss someone so bad that it hurts, then listen to my playlist “a hundred songs to save your life”. Then that should help. … My best friend – okay this one is so important; choose wisely, I got really lucky with mine. My best friend is funny, intelligent, creative, beautiful, and successful, and very kind. She’s also impulsive, frustrating, um complicated, childish, but I would not have her any other way. And the best part about Brooke Davis is that she always puts friends first. So if you are ever in any kind of trouble, you know who to call. I can’t think of anyone I’d rather have watching over you…I really hope that we get to share these things together, but just in case – they’re in here. Now there’s just one thing I need from you, please take very special care of your father, because if I’m not around he’s gonna need you to take care of him just like my dad needed me. So love him. And take care of him. And be kind to him, just please do that for me
Julian: My father always made me feel like I wasn’t good enough. Any time I had any success he would remind me of my failures. I see that in Brooke. She’s so talented and good-hearted and beautiful, but she carries around this feeling that she’s not good enough. And she has you to thank you for that. Good work.
Victoria: Are you finished?
Julian: No, not yet. I love your daughter. I’m in love with her. And one of these days she’s gonna love me back and when she does I want you to understand something: you’re either gonna learn to be nice to her, or you wont be in her life. Nice to meet you Victoria. Feels like I’ve known you all my life.
Interviewer: Nathan Scott! Do you have a comment regarding the allegations made about you on the “National Informer”?
Nathan: Yes, I do have a comment. I would just say I am very proud of my friend Brooke Davis. Tonight she reminded all of us how full of talent she is. As to the other stuff, no, I have no comment.
Jamie: Aunt Brooke,Julian…you guys are gonna make great parents someday.
Julian: Brooke, before I met you I thought my world had everything I needed to be happy. I had nothing else to compare it to, then you walked into my life and everything changed. I realized how empty my world was without you in it, and my old life was no longer capable of making me happy… not without you. I love everything about you, Brooke. I love the way you challenged me like no one ever has. I love the way you look at me like no one ever has, and I love the way you love me like no one ever has. I can’t imagine spending my life without you, and if you say “yes” to me in a few minutes, I won’t have to. You look beautiful by the way.
Jamie: J.K. Rowling once wrote:”the consequences of our actions are so complicated, so diverse that predicting the future is a very difficult business indeed”.
J.K. Rowling was right. But what most of you don’t know is Julian was able to do it. He knew a long time ago that he would find Brooke. When Julian was my age, which was a very, very, very, very long time ago,he went to a county fair, and he met a girl…not Brooke. But they went on a bunch of rides together, including the Octopus. Irrelevant to the story. But that night, Julian felt a crush for the first time, a real crush. Relax, Aunt Brooke. He was my age.So at the end of the night, they decided to break this bumper-car token in half. Julian has kept his half all these years, not because he missed the girl, but because he knew somewhere out there was the other half, his perfect match. And he was right. Today Julian married my Aunt Brooke. She’s probably the coolest girl I know and the girl Julian’s been waiting for since he broke this bumper-car token in half a long time ago at a county fair. And today Julian gave me this token. He said he didn’t need it anymore because he found his other half. Congratulations, Julian. I think it was worth the wait.
Haley : Well, When I first met Brooke Davis, she had no idea who I was. Of course everyone knew who she was, she was the most popular girl in school. She was head cheerleader, annoyingly pretty (still is), and I used to wonder back then ‘What would it be like to be friends with Brooke? Would she make me popular? Would all the boys start asking me out?’ And then one night I got to hang out with Brooke, all night. Oh, and she didn’t like my name, though, so she decided she was gonna give me a name that, uh, she did like, which ended up being Brooke. And from that moment I knew that I wanted Brooke to be my friend. Not because she was gonna make me popular, and not because boys would start asking me out, but because I got a glimpse of the real Brooke. A girl with the biggest heart that I have ever known. And you know, when you’re in high school, it’s not very easy to let people see who you really are. I could see it though, it was in the eyes. So we became friends, and now she’s my best friend. We’ve been through so much together over the years, and our friendship is still growing. So I know that your friendship and love for Julian will continue to grow every year for the rest of your lives and I feel so lucky to be a part of that. I love you, Brooke Davis.
Haley: I wanted to make a toast to my amazing friend Brooke for throwing this party. and for… saving my son’s life. Because if she hadn’t risked hers to save Jamie, I wouldn’t be standing here, with all of you, happy. Brooke, there’s a reason why you are Jamie’s godmother. And I’m thankful every day that you are. So, here’s to my best friend, Brooke Davis. There is no one else to whom I would trust my child more.
Julian: My name is Julian Baker. My wife, Brooke, was in the car you hit.
August Kellerman: I’m sorry for that.
Julian: And you think that’s enough? I watched her lungs fill with water because of what you did. I watched her eyes go dim.
August Kellerman: I said I was sorry.
Julian: Well, “sorry” isn’t enough. You insensitive jerk, that’s my wife…you understand?…I nearly lost my wife. Nathan nearly lost his son. Do you know what that feels like?
Kellerman: Yes I do. I’ve lost both.
Nathan: Yeah. You know, sometimes I think about when we were kids and the memories I have of my parents and their friends. And then I think, “this is what they’ll remember when they look back.” You know, these are the days that they’ll stories about. That’s when I feel like I can do better, that I have the responsibility to try. You know, Jamie’s gonna miss you when you leave to New York. He’ll miss you and Brooke. We all will.
Julian: Uh…We’re not leaving. Brooke passed on the job.
Julian:(to the babies) Hi, guys. It’s daddy. I like the sound of that. I just want you to understand that you’re gonna be okay…Okay? So don’t be afraid or intimidated by all this stuff, you know? Because the thing is……Your mom is Brooke Davis. And her strength is enough for all of us. I promise.
Dan: I’ll take your word for it. What happened to your face? Wife beat you up? Brooke’s a feisty one, huh?
Julian: [to Ted] How you’ve treated Brooke is unacceptable. As her husband and the father of her kids, I’m not gonna let anyone, not even her father, put her in a corner. And just because I referenced Dirty Dancing doesn’t mean I’m not serious right now.
